Help and tips for searching a collie pedigree.
The search will first try to find accurate search results, where name is a higher priority than parents, but will also find something similar.
Search on a specified field. You can specify a field in your query which only search in the specified field. Use the following options:
- name:{search word}
- birth:{search word}
- father:{search word}
- mother:{search word}
- sex:{bitch or dog}
- color:{search word}
You can combine the search words randomly. Sample mother:lody name:julianina where the criteria would find julianina's offspring with lody as mother and thereafter search in a similarity result. Select a specific color by color:merle, color:sable, color:tricolour or just color:tri*.
Exact match + Note the sign can only be used with numbers. You can specify +2012 or +birth:2012 to tell you only look for a collie with the birth year of 2012. Write + before the search word. To find a exact litter could be written as +birth:2012 birth:june +birth:18 to get a specific dob.
Wildcard * You can use a wildcard * sign. The requirement is write at least 3 characters in front. A search like ice* would result in iceman, icebreaker, iceberg etc.
